birthday card from my sister
I received this card from the mail and I was sure excited! There's just this thrill and joy about getting and opening snail mails. In fact, I try to send something, anything, to people I hold dear to heart, but I wish I could do it more often.
Anyway, I derived much gratification from opening this one because it was sign off anonymously — well, sort of. This sister of mine signed off as G.G and enclosed a packet of sterile lid wipe and whitening face mask, telling me how she (the G.G) heard about my poor (easily infected) (oriental) eyes and how I could do with fairer skin. Ha ha, right.
I was really perplexed as to who the sender could be, because this sister of mine also used a different handwriting. As my other sister and I were racking our brains trying to solve the whole mystery, my dad started mumbling at the corner of the living room, telling us that 'sister asked for the mailbox key yesterday' and 'please check if the stamp is real'. God, it was sure funny! I still can't believe she actually pasted a used stamp and extended the lines of the stamped stamp to make it look really stamped. (That was a mouthful.)
Sisters can be goofy too :-) Labels: daily, family
