Photos from June 2013

This shall be the last set of the series of long overdue photos I have. J and I went to Malacca during one of the weekends in June. Having heard much about the place, like the quaint cafés and highly-raved local delights, we decided to head there. It was a great trip which served as a good break. I especially liked the guesthouse we stayed at (the folks were hospitable) and almost every shop-house we passed by.

So here are just a few pictures from the trip —

The common shower area

Our room came with an attached bathroom but I liked that their common shower area — it was clean.

After checking in to our room, we walked around Jonker Street, tried the street food, then queued and had their famous satay celup.

The following day, we went to the nearby shopping mall to visit their indoor aquarium (Coral Wonderland) to touch and feel the sea creatures. We felt like kids again! Not many pictures thereafter because the haze was really bad. Funny how we didn't know it was haze haze. We just thought the air was bad, like the usual pollution kind of bad, until we came back to Singapore and saw the news.

Still, we enjoyed ourselves. Here's to many more trips together!
